VoIP Telephone Systems

The Future of Business Communications... Today
What It Is
Voice over Internet Protocol - commonly referred to as VoIP - is the ability to convert Voice into Data to transport the data across the Internet and convert the Data back into Voice. Over the internet, your computer can perform virtually every communications task that traditional communication devices already do, such as receiving and transmitting data, connecting to outside services, fax, email and video conferencing. Today, technological advances allow your computer to process telephone calls with Computer Telephone Integration (CTI) technology, which links your two most important business tools: your computer and telephone. The two become one seamless IP environment that fulfills virtually all the communications needs of your business.
VoIP Telephony is very simple - Users will speak into a telephone that is connected to an IP-based PBX system. The PBX then routes the call over the Internet and sends it to the receivers IP-Based PBX, which then rings their telephone. No long distance carrier is needed for calls made over the business Wide Area Network (WAN). VoIP phone service can be used from the desktop in the office, to the desktop at the home office or hotel room. It can also be used to allow users within an organization to extension dial each other regardless of which office they are in. Our IP telephony solutions are an integral element of our communications portfolio of products.
VoIP for Business
The popularity of VoIP phone service for businesses of any size is due to the recent vast improvements in technology. These improvements result in not only cost reductions, but the ability to integrate other parts of business data networks for improved productivity and efficiency.
Our process begins by assessing your business phone service requirements, which includes looking at your typical phone usage on your recent bills from your service provider. In addition to what you have done historically, we’ll discuss what, if any, changes you will want implemented for your business. Will you want voice mails automatically forwarded to email? Do you need to have customer contact information integrated with your phone service, allowing employees to view an automatic pop-up when customer calls come in? Finding the answers to these and other detailed questions will help us meet all of your needs and help you determine which provider features are cost-justified.
Integration of your business’s voice and data networks can result in the most cost-effective and efficient use of your existing IT infrastructure, with significantly improved employee productivity. Some examples of this type of integration include:
- Phone, voicemail, fax and email integration, allowing voice messages and faxes to be forwarded to your email inboxes.
- Streamlining so a single receptionist can receive and manage phone calls from multiple offices.
- Interactive voice response (IVR) capabilities for incoming and outgoing phone calls.
- Forwarding after-hours calls on your business phone to your cell phone
- Provider Features such as call billing, allowing employees to track the time spent on a specific phone call.
- Identify service trends including when peak voice traffic occurs and reviewing the types of phone calls made, among other features from your provider.
In order to provide the right service to match your business requirements and system capabilities, we work with major service providers in the area to find the best solution for your VoIP phone service needs.
