We are looking for a General Manager to oversee our Sales and Operation teams. The primary function of the General Manager will be to provide leadership and vision to the organization. He or she will direct and coordinate the activities of the company to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits. The General Manager will report directly to the CEO.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assists with the development of long range and annual goals for the company; aligns departmental and staff goals with those of the company; evaluates and reports on the progress of goal completion.
- Directs activities to increase revenue and market share.
- Promotes organization in industry and trade associations.
- Coordinates activities of divisions or departments such as accounting, human resources, sales, customer service, structured cabling, field service, information technology, project management and purchasing, to effect operational efficiency and economy.
- Plans, develops and implements organization policies, work standards and guidelines.
- Provides vision and leadership in long range fiscal planning to ensure the continuity and solvency of the organization
- Analyzes division or department budget requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made, and allocates operating budget.
- Continually reviews the overall business climate and makes adjustments to staffing levels, materials, and service offerings as needed.
- Confers with administrative personnel and reviews activity, operating, and sales reports to determine changes in programs or operations required.
- Assist in development of forms and tools to increase efficiency and risk management.
- Provide guidance on industry standards and best in class practices.
- Ensures financial reporting is completed in a timely manner, by ensuring Finance has all necessary information.
- Maintain general over-site of and ensure accuracy and integrity of records.
- Directs operational activities to ensure compliance with quality control standards, regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Maintains operating facilities to produce highest quality service at lowest possible cost.
- Ensures customers are serviced at highest levels of satisfaction through quality service, courteous employees and quick response to needs; resolves customer concerns and ensures corrective action is taken.
- Promotes and directs a program for new product/service development.
- Develops and maintains an effective organization through the selection, training, motivation, termination, and review of management.
- Develops and maintains a program for sound employee retention.
- Provides guidance and direction to management employees to assist them in their professional development.
Requirements
- Masters Degree or Equivalent
- 4-10 years experience in the telecommunications or IT industry, preferably in a senior leadership position
- Proven ability to lead and motivate
- Ability establish, enforce and meet performance goals
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- A valid driver’s license
